I’ve always enjoyed working on high resolution modeling since the gaming industry pushed towards normalmapping technology.  Here is an architectural model done in 3d Studio Max along with minor details in Zbrush.  The final render was done in Mental Ray.  Quite satisfied with the final result, might end up using this as a template for future renders.

I’ve retired my LE1700 from Motion Computing and took the expensive plunge into a brand new tablet. The Asus Ep121. Don’t get me wrong, the tablets from Motion Computing are great, but I really needed something more light weight with better colour and viewing angles. So huzzah! Here comes my brand new toy. Packed with an i5 processor, 4GB ram, and a solid state. It’s perfect, bellow is a colour comparison of a image done on my new tablet and the old near the end.  The main focus is the colour and contrast. Way better screen in my opinion.

Did some lifedrawing at work. Today was my first attempt at using my digital sketchbook in the wild. The system held up quite well and using sketchbook pro was a blast!  The stock pencil tool along with some advanced pressure sensitivity tweaks gave me the best results.  The image bellow is a collage done in Photoshop.
